over sheet metal outlet and secure with
either a Duct-clip or steel worm-drive
clamp. (Low pressure system).
For medium and or high pressure systems,
apply two or three wraps of duct-tape
to ensure a complete air-tight seal before
fixing the clamp.
Splicing two duct ends (to eliminate waste
for example) can be done by twisting one
end into the other, using duct-tape to
create an airtight seal. For larger diameters,
a male/male sheet steel sleeve can be
used, together with duct-tape and a metal
clamp on each end.
